Horizon Park offers ten outdoor lighted pickleball courts, free for drop-in public use with no reservations, open daily from sunrise to 10:30 pm per the City of Scottsdale. The city’s largest public pickleball complex, Horizon opened with eight fenced, lighted courts in 2018 to relieve crowding at Cholla Park and has since grown to ten, all with permanent nets, behind the play area near the east end of the parking lot off 100th Street. Standard city etiquette applies: games to 11, win by two, 30-minute rotation when players are waiting. Mornings run busiest with mixed levels, and an informal advanced group gathers Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Restrooms, water, and the Horizon community center round out the park.
