Description
Sellwood Park offers eight outdoor hard-surface pickleball courts, free to play with permanent lines, per Portland Parks and Recreation; as at the city’s other lined public courts, players bring their own nets. The park sits on the bluff above Oaks Bottom in Southeast Portland’s Sellwood neighborhood, with mature firs, picnic areas, a seasonal pool, and the Springwater Corridor and Oaks Amusement Park nearby. Play runs first-come, first-served within regular park hours, and the eight-court count supports rotating group play on busy mornings. Portland Parks runs organized pickleball programming and lessons separately through its recreation catalog. No fees or reservations; players supply their own portable net, paddles, and balls.

8 pickleball courts painted on the old tennis court. Unfortunately, no nets for pickleball. You have to bring your own. Apparently there is a private PDX pickleball league. I asked if I could play with them. They were not friendly or welcoming 🙁

Park is gorgeous, neighborhood lovely!This park is funded through a partnership between Portland Parks & Recreation and Columbia Sportswear, Inc.Park amenities/activities Accessible Picnic Area, Accessible Restroom, Horseshoe Pit Picnic Table, Playground, Statue or Public Art, Paths (Paved) Paths (Unpaved), Baseball Field, Soccer Field, Softball Field Basketball Court, Tennis BackboardPark policy: All dogs must be leashed in this park.
