Cholla Park offers eight outdoor lighted pickleball courts, free for drop-in public use with no reservations, open daily from sunrise to 10:30 pm per the City of Scottsdale. Scottsdale’s first public pickleball complex, Cholla stays busy enough that the city built Horizon Park’s courts partly to absorb its overflow, and mornings remain the prime social window with mixed levels rotating through. Permanent lines and nets, restrooms, and water fountains serve the courts off Via Linda in the Scottsdale Ranch area. City etiquette applies: standard games to 11, win by two, 30-minute rotation when players wait, and the city has asked players to favor quieter paddles out of consideration for neighbors. Adult leagues and programs run separately through Scottsdale Parks and Recreation.
