Froemming Park at 8801 S. 51st Street in Franklin has six courts, rebuilt on the same concrete footprint in June 2024 with new perimeter and divisional fencing. The county’s wording is that you may rent any or all of the six courts, which means a regular group can lock in a time without the whole facility going private.

How do you handle winter?

Outdoor balls and a spare, water, layers in the shoulder months, and court shoes with a durable outsole. Lakefront wind is a real factor on exposed courts and moves an outdoor ball noticeably.
Froemming is worth a note on geography. It sits in Franklin rather than the city proper, still inside Milwaukee County, and it holds six of the county’s 18 courts. For south side players it is the closest serious option, and for everyone else it is a short drive worth making when the city courts are full.
