This court advertises “open play” but it’s anything but that. As a visitor, I’ve never felt more unwelcome. It’s extremely cliquey — mostly just friends or families playing among themselves, with no real system for rotating players in. There’s no paddle rack, no level-based organization, and zero effort to include new people. It honestly felt like I crashed a private party. They should just rename it “Closed Play” or put up a sign that says “Locals Only.” Total disappointment.

This place is fantastic. So many courts. Great open play hours. All the locals and players are friendly, fun, chill. And the you can't beat the weather.

12 individually fenced pickleball courts open from from 8am to 530pm. My yearly membership was $72 because I don't live in Santa Barbara. Open play from 8 to 1230 on courts 1 thru 8. Courts 9 thru 12 require a reservation from 8 to 1230. Starting at 1230 to close all 12 courts require a reservation. Beginning July 1, 2022, the reservation system will end and all courts will be open play. You can reserve one of two pickleball courts for $15 an hour. Update 29 May 2025: Muni added 4 more pickleball courts (16 total) on a tennis court with blended lines, tennis and pickleball lines on the court. They placed 4 very sturdy moveable nets there.

Great facility! Online reservation was confusing, so we just showed up and there were pickleball courts available. $5 PER person.
