ProClinix Sports Physical Therapy and Chiropractic publishes original pickleball content: an article by John Jude Shlimoun, PT, DPT, on understanding pickleball’s risks and preventing injury. The article notes that falls are the leading cause of pickleball injuries, covers ankle sprains and pickleball elbow, cites USA Pickleball Association data that 75 percent of players are 55 and older, and recommends physical therapy screening for strength, motion, and balance, followed by guided strength and flexibility programs with dynamic warm-ups and cooldowns. The physical therapy and chiropractic practice operates multiple Westchester-area offices; this listing covers the Yorktown Heights, New York, office on Downing Drive.
My Recovery Secret Weapon–ProClinixI’ve been through orthopedic surgeries before, but this time, I had a secret advantage: pre-hab. Beginning physical therapy before my operations gave me a head start that made all the difference. It taught me early that proactive care isn’t optional, it’s the backbone of a smooth, strong recovery. That’s where ProClinix (PCX) stepped in. I’ve spent decades in and out of various PT facilities, but PCX stands head and shoulders above the rest. From my first call, I knew I was dealing with professionals who operate at an entirely different level of care.At the Yorktown location, Patricia runs the front office with absolute mastery. She manages scheduling, insurance, phone calls, patient flow—you name it—with the efficiency of a Swiss timepiece. And somehow, she still finds the warmth to greet me.Pre & Post–Hab: My A-Team at PCXRebuilding a body after two major surgeries doesn’t happen alone, it takes a dedicated, coordinated team. And PCX is stacked with exceptional talent. Their holistic ecosystem under one roof, physical therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic care—creates an experience that treats the whole patient, not just the injury. At the center of my personal recovery is Dr. Daniel Brennan. He is, without exaggeration, the finest physical therapist I’ve had in decades of PT. Dr. Brennan brings a rare combination of deep scientific knowledge, sharp intelligence, and genuine empathy. Mild-mannered but unmistakably commanding, he knows exactly when to push, when to pause, and how to challenge me to my limit, not his. He monitors my progress meticulously and adjusts with intention. He has been a steady, grounding force throughout this entire journey. And beside him is his “Robin,” Greg, whose awareness borders on superhuman. He somehow manages to appear precisely when I need a hand, a correction, or an extra layer of support. Together, they make rehabilitation feel purposeful, safe, and achievable—every single session.I can only speak directly for the Yorktown location, but if it’s any indication, I have every reason to believe the entire PCX network holds itself to the same exceptional standard.
Recently finished phy therapy of hip and knee and very happy with the results. Worked with Dan and his team (Greg and intern Matt). Over the 6 weeks working with them, they gave me progressively more difficult stretches and strength exercises which I will continue to work on at home for maintenance. Dan and his team are top notch. Highly recommended.
I had a difficult multi diagnosis issue that was quite debilitating. My team was ready and very able to tackle it. Thanks to the professionalism, knowledge, dedication, and persistence of Dr. Dan Brennan and his assistant Greg, they got me back into my activities. A shout out to Gabby and Julia also. I can't thank Proclinix staff enough for their support.
From the moment I called ProClinix, I knew I was in good hands. Having never been to physical therapy, I didn't know what to expect. Patricia explained, organized, scheduled, and dealt with insurance and prescriptions. She's a rock star as well as the pleasant face that greets you upon arrival.Dr. Gabby assessed my situation on the first visit and then, proceeded to offer stretches and exercises to strengthen and support my knee. She adapted my plan with a gradual increase in types of exercises adding weights for continued improvement. Her warmth and encouragement made the tasks seem like a piece of cake. As a runner herself, she understood the need to get back on the track, and assured that it would happen. It did!I also had the pleasure of working with Dr. Shara, who was professional and welcoming, as if I was one her "regulars."ProClinix is open, clean, and airy with windows that offer a view of the sunshine as one works toward recovery. Helping with weights, straps, or reminders of the next exercise, are the many wonderful and attentive assistants. Big shout out to Aaron with his diligence for proper alignment as he noticed me cutting corners more than once! Julia always has a smile and anticipates the next move with a practiced eye. And Greg, because his energy is contagious because he's Greg!Thank you to everyone at ProClinix, especially Dr. Gabby, for getting me through this hurdle.
Dan, Gabby, Greg, Patricia and the whole team at Yorktown ProCilnix are amazing at what they do. Dan took the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns throughout my time at physical therapy. The program was individualized to my interests and needs to keep weightlifting. I can’t speak highly enough of Dan. I also had some sessions with Gabby where she used cupping techniques, I was grateful she was willing and able to try new methods. Greg was always friendly and able to show me how to do the exercises properly and keep me on track with the routine. Last, but not least, Patricia at the front desk is so organized, friendly, and worked with me to schedule sessions. If you need physical therapy and you’re already active this is the place where each doctor takes the time to get to know your needs and customizes the care plan based on your feedback. An amazing experience despite the difficult circumstance of being injured.
