Description
Cascade Athletic Clubs’ flagship Gresham location at 19201 SE Division Street is a family-owned athletic club operating since 1977, and it now hosts one of the newer pickleball setups in the Portland metro: six indoor courts and four outdoor courts. Programming includes open play blocks, a PB 101 beginner class, leagues, tournaments, and private instruction, with all court use by reservation; tennis and pickleball members can book up to seven days ahead, and other members can make same-day reservations at no cost. The rest of the club is huge: indoor and outdoor pools, a waterpark, group classes, climbing, and racquetball. Members rate it 4.5 stars across 1,022 Google reviews. Doors open weekdays at 4:30 AM.

This place has it all. They have Pickleball, racquetball, tennis, a swimming pool, workout room, weight room, and fitness center classes for people of all shape sizes and colors. It is great. I’ve never been in a gym that had so much diversity as far as the workouts available and equipment and so forth. And what’s amazing to me is they constantly are improving it, remodeling it, and making it better.
So I sit when I take a shower because of my knee surgery and procedures, I weight less than 180 pds. As im taking a shower one of the legs on this handicap chair completely folds and I crash my back into the glass, i turn the chair in to the front desk , tallest Caucasian front desk clerk along with the maintenance guy ( bald headed) and 4 other employees, i didnt make any statement cause I was in pain from being out of breath. Months later I was still paying and not going, till finally Victoria calls me and im like hey im hoping you can void out the balance as I havent been to the gym since I got hurt taking a shower, would you know they said NO, instead said we dont know anything about a chair and this is after going to this gym 1 month shy of 10 years lol, we already know why though dont we and its a shame
I had a disappointing experience at Cascade Athletic Clubs. Unfortunately, Mason was really rude and unprofessional during my visit. His attitude made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I expected a friendly and supportive environment, but this was not the case. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future.
This gym is ran by people who want your check and nothing more. Staff is unfriendly at best and when you try and ask questions or offer feedback they act like you should already know the information. Every single weight machine that is not brand new needs a deep clean and general maintenance. The stair master machines are ANCIENT and one of them is balanced with a mat... seems safe. The floors in the gym area catch hair so there are just tufts of hair on the ground. This gym truly feels like it is ran by people who do not care if they do a bad job and will do ANYTHING to defend their bad job. It's so disappointing because I wanted to go to a gym that was locally owned, but they just don't really have integrity for their work. I have attached photos that I sent to them in an email TWO MONTHS ago in which they did not bother to respond to. The showers covered in mold and the pool covered in dirt, and what basically every machine that needs a seat adjustment looks like when you make that adjustment. I tried to be nice and send emails, but since no one wanted to respond I'm forced to post this really frustrated review.
My husband and I joined about 6 months ago, and we absolutely love it! Lots of space and all of the equipment we need. I have been training with Idalia and she is the best! The staff is friendly and it’s generally very clean inside. The remodel is nice and I appreciate being able to spread out and never feel cramped for space. One small note: the main hot tub can sometimes be overwhelmingly chemical-y. I’m sure the levels are tested regularly, but sometimes it’s so strong it burns my eyes and kinda takes away from the relaxing experience.
