Ashler Hills Park offers eight outdoor lighted pickleball courts, free to the public on a drop-in, first-come basis with no reservations taken, per the City of Scottsdale. Courts are open daily from sunrise to 10:30 pm with permanent nets, serving north Scottsdale players in one of three lighted eight-plus-court city complexes alongside Cholla and Horizon parks. Scottsdale asks players to follow posted etiquette: standard game format to 11 points, win by two, with a 30-minute limit when others wait, and no amplified sound at city courts. The park’s location off 74th Way in the Ashler Hills area gives far-north Valley players a free lighted option without driving into central Scottsdale, with city adult leagues and drop-in programs organized separately through Scottsdale Parks and Recreation.
I hate to tell others because this place will fill up. There are eight beautiful courts here with tall fences to keep your balls from flying into the desert. For busy days there is an organized next-in-line system to keep chaos down. Trash, water fountain, court lights, and shaded benches for waiting players makes this a great place for your next game. The adjacent park with play structures and basketball court will make it fun for the whole family.
It's a very beautiful park with some new pickleball courts. It's not super busy yet and there's not a ton of competition but that also makes it nice.
Pickle ball courts need fencing between courts to avoid interference and potential falls from errant pickleballs from the adjacent court.
Outstanding pickleball park with great views. Thank you City of Scottsdale and all those who advocated for it.
