I recently traveled from Houston to the Grand Hyatt Resort with my two kids (ages 3 & 5) and our nanny for 3 nights. We booked a double queen room with an adjoining king and the setup was perfect! The rooms were clean, comfortable beds and loved the empty mini fridge for kids snacks.Upon arrival, we met Conner who helped us with our bas and to our room. He was so friendly! We headed right to the pool and the kids l loved it! My son must have done the big waterslide 50x. The pool waitstaff was friendly and the pool key was what you’d expect - kids were happy! The service was pretty slow on Saturday, but the weekdays were better. One of the big pushes for me to choose this resort was the Camp Hyatt option for the kids. We receive a weekly schedule of activities at check-in and my kids loved crafts in the morning. I wish it had started at 9am rather than 10am though - our kids wake up early and after breakfast they’re ready to do something. Kat and Jake did a great job welcoming the kids and my son also loved doing the rock wall with them too!My only real complaint was that the lobby bar/lounge isn’t open each day until 3pm, although on Saturday and Sunday’s it’s listed as open starting at 11am, but that was not the case. So essentially if you’re not at the pool, there’s no there’s no where to get a drink or bite to east on property outside of the little market.Other than that we loved the resort and would def visit again! The under 30 minute ride from the airport is so convenient!

I highly recommend this hotel for families with children ages 4+. The pool area is fantastic, with a beach-style play area that gives kids plenty of space to play and explore, as well as a waterslide for children 42 inches and taller. There are lots of activities to keep kids entertained while still feeling relaxing for parents. The property is well laid out, and it strikes a nice balance between being family-friendly and enjoyable for adults. I could easily see our family spending a full week here without running out of things to do.

This is a very good hotel. Got a deal through Costco so they included breakfast free self parking no resort fees and a $300 hotel credit. Otherwise it’s mega expensive. The pools are very nice and they have a huge pool area for families and kids. I think the place is great for them. The fitness center is fine but believe it or not the weight room is too small and lacking. The aerobic area is big and not so well used. The service here is great and everyone is helpful and friendly. I think the location is good not far from anything but you will need a car. I would recommend it for families but if I came back to Scottsdale I would try another place.

Chose to stay here for our family vacation and would definitely come back again. The location is perfect and the resort itself has great amenities and especially pools. The staff across the resort was amazing, the restaurants were really good, especially La Zozzona, and we really appreciated how much the staff went above and beyond for our 2 year old daughter as well! Perfect family atmosphere!

This was easily one of the most disappointing stays I have had at a nice hotel. If you are looking for peace, quiet, and a relaxing vacation, this is not the place. The bar area turns into a loud frat-party atmosphere every night, with booming music until 11:00 PM, and the walls and windows do almost nothing to block the noise. Our third-floor room overlooked the bar, and it felt impossible to rest. The mornings were just as bad. Noise from other guests started around 5:30 AM, and landscaping equipment was going by 6:00 AM. Even with earplugs, the noise still came through. The food was another letdown. The breakfast buffet was exactly the same every single day, which is not what I would expect from a Grand Hyatt. On days without the buffet, the menu was still boring and repetitive. The only consistently enjoyable food we had was by the pool. The other restaurants were bland and uninspired.Overall, this stay was the opposite of restful, and I regret not booking the Andaz instead. If you enjoy late-night noise and early wake-ups, you may love it. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
