My wife, 3 year daughter and I recently vacationed at La Jolla Beach and tennis club. During our first full day at the resort , July 12 2026,l a security person asked us if we were guests. I politely said yes and showed him our room keys.That's to be expected. BUT even after I showed him our room keys he still kept asking, are you members, are you guests.... After he asked the same question for a 3rd time, I said, "I've already answered you, what is the problem?". He was extremely rude. Then only one hour later he stops my wife again and had her in tears. I saw this happening so I joined the conversation, reminded him again he had already checked us an hour ago. He just got more abrasive and aggressive.At one point I told him to leave us alone. He started to walk away, then turned around to face me, sticking his chest out and said "What are you gonna do about it!!" His last name is Chung and is evidently a security guard. I'm telling you, he was belligerent and lucky that I chose to handle it the professional way.Inexcusable and if he is terminated from his job I'll guarantee that my family will never stay here again.

Had the best time here! It's right by the beach and there's a variety of activities you can do including pickleball, tennis, swimming pool, golf and more, all with a stunning view. They also have multiple restsaurants on property including the gorgeous Marine Room, and this is a great place to stay to get access to member exclusive activities. Our room had a view of the beach which was stunning, and rooms were a little older but very clean and spacious with a full kitchen. Definitely would recommend a weekend getaway here, you really don't need to leave the property!

Went here for a good friends wedding. The place was amazing. First class everything. The venue and staff were fantastic. The bar setting next to the beach was beautiful and equally as nice. Can't recommend this place enough to visit/stay for a few days or week if you can afford it.

Had a great family reunion the past week. Enjoyed our stay here. The college kids working here are absolutely fabulous and the stars of the show! They are so happy to be working there, helpful, and will do anything that you need to have a great experience!Breakfast and coffee in the Walnut room were a great way to start the day! The gym is small, but great equipment and a good place to work out! The beach is nice and the water is not too cold. We did fire pit a couple nights and that was fun. Overall, a great experience and would do it again!

Can’t beat the location. Staff were awesome. Par 3 on site was a blast to be outside and get some sun
