Volley builds an AI assessment and training system for racquet clubs, designed, built, tested, and shipped from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The system pairs a programmable ball-feeding trainer machine with an app that tracks shots and produces objective skill ratings for pickleball, padel, platform tennis, and tennis.

On the pickleball side, the Volley Skill Rating scores players up to 600 overall and rates seven shot categories: drives, drops, dinks, volleys, smashes, serves, and returns, with progress tracked across retakes and ratings comparable across a club’s membership.

The club pitch is replacing self-reported skill levels with data: fair league and ladder placement, and retention, citing that 83 percent of players train more frequently when they can track progress.
