What a gem. This Hotel has a classy boutique vibe, but with the energy of a trendy high-end resort. It is in a great location and they have a huge parking garage, so getting there and staying is super easy. I have stayed at the Hotel for business and have been in their beautiful meeting rooms with the most breath-taking views of the skyline. The food & beverage and service was and is amazing. I have also stayed at the Hotel for leisure and have taken advantage of their many complimentary class offerings, their spa and massage services, and of course dining in their outstanding restaurant, Chromium. I will definitely be back – and plan to spread the word that this place is TOP NOTCH!

I had such an experience staying at Hotel Midtown! The location was walking distance to numerous other spots to eat and shops located off of Damen. There are a few bus stops nearby as well which made transit convenient! The hotel amenities surpassed my expectations in a positive way! Im sad I didn't get to truly experience everything because they have so much to offer! The hotel lobby and rooms were exceptionally clean and housekeeping was a dime. The staff from check in to check out was also lovely and everyone was kind and attentive. This is one of my new favorite hotels to stay in while I'm in town!

Good stay at Midtown! It’s the perfect place for a traveler that prioritizes health and wellness. There’s a 3 floor wellness club you have access to with a lot of boutique studio classes and high end equipment. It’s pretty lively, I’ll be back!

I actually like the concept of the hotel however as a wellness hotel I think they should have paid more attention to the layout. After traveling, meetings all day, throbbing headache, you would think that you are coming to a serene, wellness hotel. Well…I am immediately feeling this structural room shaking, after about 2 hours of this and the throbbing of my head getting worst. I call the front desk, to find out the 4th floor has the gym on the 3rd floor. Oh, get this I was also told don’t worry it stops at 1000pm. (No offer of resolution I mean move me) Meanwhile my headache is getting worse. Do not come to this hotel if you are not feeling well and if you want quietness and peace. Well at less not until 10p

This is not the place to rest and reset. We selected this hotel based upon it's location and the modern furnishings in the rooms. Several complaints and a few compliments:1 - The trip started with finding out that we would be charged an extra $50 per night above and beyond what we agreed to and pre-paid for the room. In a confirmation email they send out later that had in tiny, gray text that they will charge you extra. They use this email to justify the super shady charge for a "resort fee". Nickel and diming people with these tactics immediately sets the tone for a bad time. I'm considering alerting the Illinois Attorney General's office because this felt so slimy and wrong.2 - To call this a resort is a joke. It's a gym that happens to have rooms embedded inside it. Your room will be surrounded by the heavy thumping of weights being dropped enough to shake the ground around you. My wife and I joked when we saw the ear plugs included on our night stands...the joke was on us. Thumping weights smashed around us until nearly 11:00 PM at night and they restarted at around 5:00 AM. No rest for these weary hotel guests.3 - Poorly informing guests of the parking situation. Your parking is included in the stay. What they don't tell you is that you must have your ticket pre-authorized 15 minutes before you leave. So, your keycard won't work to exit. The only escape is a credit card to get charged $80 for overnight parking. Then you must complain to the front desk who gives you a post-it note with an email address to send you credit card for a refund...I called and got mine refunded that way, but wow, no respect for credit card security and just a stupid process to make things right for the customer. Management: post a few signs to inform your guests and train your staff to adequately inform guests. Also, don't ask your guests to email a credit card, I'm sure your PCI Compliance is in violation with this policy. The location is terrific. A short walk to Logan Square and many points of interest. The rooms feel clean. With a few minor policy changes, a couple signs and a limit on free weight lifting times this place could be something special.
