Sportsbarn is absolutely the best place in Chattanooga! Probably the nicest club in Chattanooga after I visited others. CrossFit area has more equipment than most and locker rooms have a good feel. Definitely higher end clientele! Which allows me to feel comfortable and get a great workout in!

A few days ago I decided to join the sports barn in Hixson, Tennessee. I heard a few different things from a few different people. I will update this review at the end of the summer as of right now. I find the staff to be courteous and helpful a the facility for the most part is amazing. Like any place of business, nothing is going to be perfect for everyone. Is it more money than some of the other gyms... yes. Do I believe it's worth the extra money...? So far also yes. Beyond the staff there are of course people who attend the gym that are in their own world with their headphones on getting their grind on which is perfectly acceptable, but there are also people who have been polite and encouraging each other to reach their goals. As far as for younger child, they have both daycare facilities that operate mostly during their class times and the pool area which has plenty of toys and life jackets for my youngest. Myself and my teenagers will be at the sports barn, pretty much every day this summer. So if you're in the area, I suggest checking it out and bring your family

This place is filthy & nothing is maintained but today 6/5/26 takes the cake. In the men’s locker room there are urinal freshener pucks placed above the water fountain, hanging on a hook by the showers, 2 above the sinks and 1 that was placed in steam room that someone had thrown out the door. I tried to steam but only lasted less than a minute because the smell was so strong it caused me to cough! I will not be a member of here much longer and neither should you!

My family has been going here about a year and I have to say that all of the 1 star reviews are spot on. When we signed up they promised new equipment, red light therapy included in your membership (the machine was sitting in a box at the front when we joined May 2025, it just now got hooked up and they are trying to charge $50 per session to use it), a CrossFit style class, and several other things. The only new equipment has been that they turned the old gymnastics room into a pickleball court that no one really uses. There are 3 pieces of equipment that have been out of commission for over 3 months. The locker room is continually dirty and out of soap, toilet paper etc. There has been a blood stain on one of the wall tiles for over 2 weeks. Right after we joined the guy who ran the CrossFit class quit because of an argument with the pickleball coach (yes, you read that correctly). One thing that prospective members should know that I found creepy also is there are old men who will hang out in the locker room literally for hours completely naked. I stopped bringing my son because of it. The place seems to cater to the 65 and up crowd who’ve been going there for years and keep thinking that the new owners are going to follow through with their promises. Attached are some photos of the blood on the wall and broken equipment. There are tons of other gyms that are a fraction of the price within 5 minutes that have newer equipment and cleaner facilities.

Cockroaches everywhere in the men’s locker room and sauna. Told them about the broken seats in the sauna repeatedly for 6 months before they were “fixed” (like 2 4 inch decking screws). Promised a cold plunge that has been sitting unplugged 8 months to a year. Never any towels in the locker room….. used to be an awesome place, now it’s just bad. This review is going to get buried, and I’m willing to bet that the 5 star ones are paid for or fake. I haven’t spoken to a single member that is happy there, if they haven’t dropped yet, it’s just because of routine
