The Sarasota Pickleball Club is a member association whose mission is growing pickleball in the Sarasota area as a sport for all ages. Its home base is the Pompano Trailhead courts at 601 S Pompano Avenue, a twelve-court lighted county complex near the Legacy Trail where the club worked with Sarasota County on amenities like the paddle-box rotation system that manages open play queues. Open drop-in play runs daily from early morning until the 10 PM close, organized informally by level, and the club hosts several round robin tournaments each season from November through April. Membership and event registration run through sarasotapickleballclub.com. Google reviewers rate the location 4.5 stars across 56 reviews.
I absolutely LOVE this club! The management team and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable—any question I have is answered promptly and professionally. The skilled open play sessions are always fun—lots of talented players who make winning or losing enjoyable. The 3.0-3.5 league is run smoothly with no issues. The 3.5-4.0 jamborees are challenging with skilled players willing to offer tips on improving my skill and strategy without being condescending. The instructors are top notch—I’ve had private and 3 & Me lessons which grew me from a 3.0 to a 3.5! Love the tasty teriyaki chicken wings. Oh—the Wellness Room is awesome for after playing to use the massage chairs, aqua beds (I may have the name of the bed wrong), cooling bed, and red light therapy!!! The Wellness Room is an extra charge, but completely worth it. I am so very glad this club reopened!
Just stopped by today to check out the pickleball club and hear about pricing and everything they offer, and I was really surprised in the best way. I met Emily at a wellness event at UTC and heard such great things, so I wanted to see it for myself. Plus, I had no idea it was only 5 minutes from my house which is a huge bonus. They have 8 courts, a wellness room, basketball court, covered outdoor courts, a bar, and an event space which is super cool for parties or just hanging out. Emily and Brenda at the front desk were AMAZING. Super friendly, helpful, and really knowledgeable. I honestly enjoyed talking with them.I’d love to see more events for 20–30 year olds like singles nights, ladies pickleball + brunch, and tournaments. Overall, really impressed and excited about this place!
I recently visited family in the area and needed a place to play. I was able to drop in on a number of days throughout the week and had fun with the group that plays there. I found the players to be very nice and welcoming. The facility is nice and the owner and staff are friendly. It’s the type of place I’d happily be a member of if I lived in the area. It’s great to have this option for me as I visit!
Came in from out of town the staff and the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Play for a few hours very comfortable environment. The owner even gave us hot chocolate chip cookies.
Amazing club overall! They have everything for every level of play. You sign up for 2 hour sessions based on your level with hardly any waiting at all. You can reserve courts to play, they have drilling sessions and club pros for lessons and some delicious food and drinks. Staff is extremely friendly, the manager Matt goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is great one. Indoor temp controlled play for Florida is ideal as well as outdoor courts that are covered. The only negative is my wife thinks I spend too much time at the club 💯😭😎. I highly recommend this club for every level of player.
