I won’t be shopping here again, and I’d recommend others be cautious.Since October, I’ve been in three times—twice for pickleball shoes and once to demo paddles and buy balls—spending around $400 total. My last experience completely changed my perception of this place.I demoed two paddles and paid a $50 deposit. When I returned one after a week (barely used), I was told that the $50 could ONLY be applied toward buying a new paddle from their store. This was never explained to me upfront. When I asked if I could use the credit toward other items like shoes or balls, they refused.The associate insisted this policy is explained to everyone, but that simply wasn’t my experience. Instead of working toward a reasonable solution, they doubled down and basically told me I’d lose my $50 if I didn’t buy a paddle from them.I understand protecting against abuse, but I used the demo properly and returned it promptly. Other stores handle demos much more fairly and transparently.This felt like a “quick sale over customer relationship” situation. Unfortunately, they’ve lost a repeat customer over it.

MP Tennis & Sports in Tampa is simply the best specialty sports store in the area, and We've been a loyal customer for a long time. As parents of three kids who are all active on the court, finding a knowledgeable and reliable shop has been a game changer for our family. Over the years we've purchased pickleball and tennis rackets, cases of tennis balls, accessories as well as court shoes for my wife, myself and all three of my kids — multiple times. No matter how many of us pile in, the staff is always incredibly helpful, patient, and exceptionaly knowledgeable. They don't just hand you a racket — they actually take the time to understand your game and guide you to the right choice. One of the things that really sets MP apart is their demo racket program. Being able to try before you buy is huge, especially when you're investing in quality equipment. It takes all the guesswork out of the decision and makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. They also do racket stringing and restoration, which keeps me coming back even between gear purchases — no need to go anywhere else. And here's the exciting news — MP Tennis & Sports is about to open a second location in Spring Hill on Commercial Drive! For those of us who've been making the trip to Tampa, this is fantastic. Whether you need new gear or a racket restrung, having them closer to home is something to celebrate. If you're serious about tennis or pickleball, don't waste your time anywhere else. This is the place is the place to for anything pickleball, tennis and bowling related stuff. There's also a bowling pro shop in there as well. They have a great assortment of paddles and racquets and a few bowling balls for sale. Great knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Nice store and friendly staff . They have good collections of tennis racquets and related accessories. They almost have all the brands and models . I liked the demo program with them and with no buying pressure they were very helpful to suggest me the right racquet .very professional and knowledgeable. I didn’t mind driving 30 mins to this shop every time because of their service.

Stopped in to check this place out. Friendly staff with quite the selection of rackets and other tennis accessories. Staff greeted us when we arrived and answered all of our questions. Their prices for re-stringing a racket seemed quite reasonable. I'll definitely come back here for my tennis needs.
