Milpitas Pickleball Club is a 501(c) nonprofit club in Milpitas, California, founded by Van Leong, whose home base is the pickleball courts at Hall Memorial Park. The club is equal parts play group and advocacy operation: members run free beginner lessons on Saturdays from noon to 2 pm at Hall Park with instructors guiding new players, host a steady calendar of social events from round robins to holiday parties, and organize on Discord, which is open to the public. On the advocacy side, the club has turned out in force at Milpitas City Council and parks meetings, successfully pushing to make the Hall Memorial pickleball pilot program a permanent six-court setup.
