The International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association was founded in 2015 to standardize the language, strokes, and strategies of pickleball, and calls itself the global golden standard for pickleball instruction, with members in over 90 countries.

For instructors it offers Level I, II, and III certifications plus a Certified Junior Pickleball Instructor program, along with workshops and a member portal. Its rating system and rating assessments give players and programs a standardized measure.

For facilities, the relevant services are staffing-shaped: a job board connecting coaches with players and clubs, a find-a-coach directory, member clubs, and a business hub, which together make it a sourcing channel for certified teaching pros.
