Description

Glendale Park offers twelve new public pickleball courts, opened in August 2025 as the first finished amenity of Salt Lake City’s first regional park in more than sixty years, per the city’s own announcement. Community input tripled the original plan: instead of four new courts, four old tennis courts became twelve pickleball courts on the former Raging Waters waterpark site in the westside Glendale neighborhood. The courts anchor a broader city push that puts 26 public courts on the west side alongside 14 on the east. Around them, phase one of Glendale Regional Park adds an all-abilities playground, basketball court, walking paths, shaded canopies, and open lawn. Public park courts serve all comers; check the city’s site for programming as the park builds out through subsequent phases.

This park is amazing! It has everything you could want for kids. Slides, swings, climbing equipment, shade, grass, mini skate park, tennis courts, pavilion. It’s extremely well maintained and clean. The only thing is right now they only have port-a-potties.

★★★★★

Thank you to the city for improving our community with this park! The new playground is really nice, I can’t wait to see how it all comes together when the construction is completed.

What a great park so many people and so many things to do. Very modern with the rubber flooring around the playground. Too bad the water fountain wasn't working.

This park is really nice. I wish I could've gone to a park like this when I was a child. All the features are really artistic, couple together with the mountains in the backdrop. It was definitely designed by those who love their community. Very thankful for a place like this in Glendale.

★★★★★

Great park so far. Thank you Salt Lake City. Clean, fun space for kids and dog to run around. Sweet basketball and pickleball courts. Can't wait to see what phase 2 looks like.
