Description

Court 16 is a boutique indoor tennis and pickleball club whose flagship sits inside City Point in Downtown Brooklyn, a 26,000-square-foot space with seven courts, including LED-illuminated surfaces that switch between sports. Kids get a tennis academy for ages 2.5 to 15; pickleball is the adult side of the house, with level-based clinics, DUPR-banded leagues from advanced beginner through intermediate, open play, and court rentals, all booked through the Court 16 app. Memberships add perks like a free skill assessment, a clinic and court rental, waitlist priority, and discounts on lessons and pro shop gear, which leans on the club’s deep Babolat relationship. The Brooklyn location holds a 4.6 rating across 162 Google reviews, open 7 AM to 10 PM most days on the fourth floor of City Point.

There is a lot to love about Court 16 in Brooklyn. 1. First and foremost, the staff. They are amazing, kind, and attentive. My son and I felt comfortable the moment we walked in. We went there for an event and the staff ensured everyone was taken care of and had a wonderful time. 2. The location. The courts are located on the 4th floor of City Point and what makes that cool is you can explore shopping, food, and movies before or after your tennis session, all within the same building. We did just that and it added to the experience. 3. The cleanliness of the facility. Everything from the courts to the restrooms were top notch. 4. The trainers. We got to meet and work with a couple of different trainers. They were engaging, warm, and could clearly teach any level. I have been playing tennis for years and still walked away learning something new. I love when that happens. Thank you to everyone @ Court 16 - Brooklyn for being amazing. My son

So glad this place exists! + I really appreciate the staff here. I made a mistake buying a pack and not realizing they expired, and was really mad at myself. I basically flushed $200 down the toilet. The staff was incredible and gave me a second chance. Very grateful for that. Honestly sold me on the place and their ethics. After that, I bought another 10 pack. Otherwise, I think I would have been too upset to come back. + I've taken a bunch of Beginner and Advanced Beginner classes here with many of the coaches, including Marina, Andy, Adam, Justin, Anna, Garrett, and Nick C. A part of me doesn't want to say this bc I don't want all their classes to be too booked, but shoutout to Anna, Garrett, and Nick C, who I feel like deeply care about their client's growth and learning and understanding of technique and tennis. I appreciate how they proactively explain ideas with analogies or other small physical exercises that make all the difference. What can be a bit annoying, but just the way life works, is just having to try out a lot of coaches to find the ones you like, and the fact that it's $50-60 a class, which is an expensive "test." I wish that Court 16 had some kind of coaches page with their philosophy and experience so that you could choose accordingly.

I’ve been coming here on and off for 4 months and have taken 9 classes so far - 2 pickleball classes and the rest are beginner tennis group classes. I have to say the front desk staff here are really nice, and I have learned a lot from all of the coaches in a short duration. That being said, I did feel like not every coach had a teaching style that was the best fit long term and had to try different classes to find coaches I really respected. Major shoutout to Coach Daniel - he subbed in for a class and was actually super inspiring. He was so positive we all learned and improved so much in one class that I decided to come twice a week now to keep learning and getting better. Coach Justin was really nice and helped me figure out why my footwork and forehand was off, and gave a lot of great advice on how to improve! I’m hoping to take his class on the regular. And I had a ton of fun in the pickleball classes with coach Garrett! In my opinion he is the best coach here - he’s not only super nice he also has this really awesome ability to explain all the technical things in a way that’s super easy to digest for beginners.

I went to Court 16 yesterday for the first time for a beginners tennis lesson. I had the best time. I learned so much in a very low pressure situation. Great instructor - Taraq- and sweet staff. Will definitely go again.

If you've ever tried to get on a tennis court anywhere in NYC, you know it's not for the faint of heart. That's why guaranteed play AND coaching at Court 16 is 100% worth it if you love tennis and genuinely want to improve your game. I've had great experiences with all coaches and especially loved learning from Coaches Marina, Anna, and Nick.
