Description
BORP Adaptive Sports and Recreation is a Berkeley, California nonprofit, by and for people with disabilities, running a Pickleball for All program where players with and without disabilities play together. The only rule change is an extra bounce for players in wheelchairs, and the weekly community meets at James Kenney Park in Berkeley on Saturdays with a midweek session at the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond. Sessions are free and coached, with all equipment provided including sport wheelchairs, balls, and paddles, and no experience or gear needed. BORP is the Bay Area’s comprehensive adaptive sports provider, with programs spanning wheelchair basketball, rugby, goalball, cycling, kayaking, and an annual Adaptive Sports Expo featuring all day pickleball.
