Amarillo Netplex is a 62,000-square-foot multi-use sports and event facility billing itself as where the Panhandle plays pickleball, running 10 indoor dedicated pickleball courts alongside volleyball, basketball, and futsal courts, a pro shop, and concessions. Membership tiers (Competitor at $69/month plus a $99 initiation fee, and higher Premium/Fanatic tiers) determine advance-booking windows (7 to 30 days), court costs ($5-10/hour, often included at higher tiers), and Lobster ball machine rental rates. The facility runs leagues for all four sports, hosts tournaments (including national Pickleball Power Play events with DUPR-reported scores), and offers camps, clinics, and round robins for youth and adults. Programming has drawn experienced instructors, including a former Tellico Village Pickleball Club president who designed that club’s 12 courts before joining Amarillo Netplex. It holds a 4.2 rating across 230 Google reviews.
NetPlex has hired individuals who care about your personal enjoyment, however I have one complaint. The pickleball courts get dusty against the back walls and when I asked for a dust mop so I could clean it up, it would be put on a list so that the help could do it. It seems to me that the dust is still growing.
We love the Amarillo Netplex! The perfect venue for all of our events & parties, not to mention the best pickleball courts in town! Looking forward to the sports camps for my kiddos this spring break! Friendly helpful staff. You won’t be disappointed!
Lots of room, which is great, but 3 of the 5 basketball courts are the sport court tiles which are just so so. Seems like there were many peaking edges and "hollow" dead spots in the sports court. Looks to be an old YMCA at some point being remodeled into a sports and event center. Girls came out as champions, so can't complain!!
I was a member but had to take break due to ankle injury. Did not join back because of price increases. When I was member, I got many friends join at my recommendation, but they started leaving due to price hikes and also there were days, you could not play open plays. At times limited courts were there for open plays. Number of young players who are very good players left because of cost , so you do not have higher rated players to play with. I enjoyed playing with many highschool, college kids who were excellent but could not afford high cost. They also cut the times which was a poor decisionI suggest 1. The facility has other sports like basketball etc but people who play pickle ball only play Pickle ball and do not want to pay for other games in facility. Keep membership for particular sports 2. Reduce fees in range of 50-60 dollars per mo and do not nickle and dime Keep one price without additional fees 3. Keep longer hrs for open plays daily. So you can go when your schedule permits. 4. I tried to push so many to join but they felt betrayed soon after they joined, the price hikes 5. Many pickleball businesses in the country do not thrive as they move away from “ sports” as goal to money making, Do not lose focus from the “sports” 6. BSA was hosting pickle ball games, make money by attracting corporate events but do not create difficulties for patrons to play at times they want to play. 7. At the end of the day, if you build, welcome and treat players right, they will come
We just moved to Amarillo from San Angelo and came to Amarillo Netplex for the first time to play indoor pickleball, what a great experience! The facility is super clean, well-maintained, and has a very welcoming atmosphere. It’s definitely a place we’ll be coming back to often. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great spot to play pickleball indoors!
