Johns Design and Consulting is a pickleball facility planning, design, and operations consulting firm based in Dallas, with a second office in Ho Chi Minh City, co-founded by professional players Ben and Collin Johns. The firm was founded on the observation that pickleball facilities are going up everywhere but few are built right, citing undersized courts, inadequate ceilings, and substandard lighting.

Four offerings cover the facility lifecycle. Full Design Consulting takes a project from blank lot to opening day: facility and court design, construction oversight, programming, branding, vendor sourcing, staff training, and surfacing selection. The Feasibility Audit serves developers and investors with real estate, market, and competition analysis plus pricing models and revenue projections. The Club Audit analyzes an existing facility’s financials, staffing, operations, and programming to fix margin and grow traffic, and Custom Scope engagements fill the gaps.

Facilities completing the full process earn JDC Certification, and the firm claims its facilities earn nearly double the national average revenue per court.
