Acuity Eye Group’s Palm Springs office provides comprehensive medical eye care in the Coachella Valley, with a team that includes board certified ophthalmologists and retina specialists. The scope of an ophthalmology and retina practice covers eye injuries, including the blunt force trauma that racquet and paddle sports can cause, along with long term monitoring of eye health and management of structural complications after injury. The office is part of Acuity Eye Group, a California eye care network with locations across the state. For pickleball players in the Palm Springs area, where eye protection is increasingly recommended, this is a local option for medical eye care and follow up after an eye injury.
I accompanied my mother to her appointment at Acuity Eye Group in Palm Springs, and I want to express my sincere appreciation for Alexis. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. She treated my mother with kindness and respect and made us both feel comfortable throughout the visit. Alexis was professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. She answered questions patiently and helped make the entire experience smooth and pleasant. It’s clear that she takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and her positive attitude made a lasting impression on us. Thank you, Alexis, for making my mother’s visit such a wonderful experience. You are truly an asset to Acuity Eye Group, and we highly recommend both Alexis and the team.
Acuity Eye has wonderful people who are both professional and friendly. You can easily book an appointment just by giving them a call. The front desk team speaks both English and Spanish. On the day of your appointment, the check-in process is also smooth. The exam begins with important measurements, including photos of your eye from the front and inside. They use the latest technology to assess your eye health and eyesight. For the lens prescription, the doctor connects remotely via video camera. The doctor can control the viewer for the classic “Is 1 clearer or 2?” check. It’s very high-tech! My doctor had a fantastic video presence, making it feel very personal, even though they weren’t in the room. (I really appreciate this so I didn’t have a long drive far for a quality eye exam.) Besides the lens prescription, I get an annual exam for diabetics that includes a thorough exam of the retina. So far, I’m doing well, but it’s important to have regular eye exams because many eye health issues can be managed if caught early and treated promptly. That means the sooner, the better. 5-stars for top-quality eye care. 5-stars for great people who really care. 5-stars for a convenient location.
Dr. Grewal is an excellent Surgeon and Dr. Sifter is very detail oriented on surgical post op office visits. Dr. Chait was also excellent, but has left Acuity. However, Acuity has the worst customer service support I have ever experienced with a Medical Group..they do not answer their phones or return your calls in a timely fashion.! Dr. Grewal is very helpful and prompt when you reach out to him by email with a issue. Overall, Acuity Doctors are excellent, but office support for patients is very poor.
All the Acuity offices I've been to down in the Palm Springs area have been terrific, with the exception of scheduling. I will not return to the one in Yucca Valley however, due to rudeness on the part of the doctor as well as the front desk. I do not wish to fill one of these out every time I visit however. Providing you with free advertisement is not my job. Thank you.
Doctor was great! Staff needs some work ! Unprofessional, rude, and don’t know what the hell they are doing. They could not even get my prescription right when they sent in to the pharmacy. I had to personally and physically drive from Indio to Palm Springs twice to receive a hand written prescription to hand to the pharmacy. I’ve tried calling and no one at the office answers the phone. You have to go through a call center. Not even the pharmacist could get through. I just had eye surgery the week before and was in need of the meds to help the high pressure in my eye . Pretty sad! Shame on you Acuity!! Unsatisfied patient.
