Acuity Eye Group’s Palm Springs office provides comprehensive medical eye care in the Coachella Valley, with a team that includes board certified ophthalmologists and retina specialists. The scope of an ophthalmology and retina practice covers eye injuries, including the blunt force trauma that racquet and paddle sports can cause, along with long term monitoring of eye health and management of structural complications after injury. The office is part of Acuity Eye Group, a California eye care network with locations across the state. For pickleball players in the Palm Springs area, where eye protection is increasingly recommended, this is a local option for medical eye care and follow up after an eye injury.
I accompanied my mother to her appointment at Acuity Eye Group in Palm Springs, and I want to express my sincere appreciation for Alexis. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. She treated my mother with kindness and respect and made us both feel comfortable throughout the visit. Alexis was professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. She answered questions patiently and helped make the entire experience smooth and pleasant. It’s clear that she takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and her positive attitude made a lasting impression on us. Thank you, Alexis, for making my mother’s visit such a wonderful experience. You are truly an asset to Acuity Eye Group, and we highly recommend both Alexis and the team.
My experience at my appointment on June 24th was a complete waste of time. I was supposed to see my ophthalmologist, Dr Sifter, to discuss post surgical medication adjustments. Instead they tried to direct me to another clinician to fit me for glasses. I told the receptionist I wasn't interested in that and she said ok. They took me back and took some measurements after which I spent a half hour in a waiting room. When I was called back again, I was seated in front of a TV screen for a tele-med session with a different clinician. The assistant said it was to fit me for glasses. I explained to her why this was wrong and she told me that Dr Sifter was no in the office that day. That was a lie. I had seen Dr Sifter in the hallway earlier. Between the long wait time and being lied to, I was not a happy patient at all. We cancelled that appointment and made another for me to see Dr Sifter next week. This isn't the first bad experience I've had with this clinic. I really like Dr Sifter, but I don't care at all for the incompetent front line staff I have to deal with to get to her.
My name is Patricia Sutherland, After arriving late, for my 8:30 am apt. on weds July 1st with Dr.Shifter. Everyone was kind & understanding. SangeeGruwell, Dr.Sifter & all the staff went out if there way, to prioritize my needs. Thanku for giving me my life back. I have recommended several of my friends to you. Nameste
Acuity Eye has wonderful people who are both professional and friendly. You can easily book an appointment just by giving them a call. The front desk team speaks both English and Spanish. On the day of your appointment, the check-in process is also smooth. The exam begins with important measurements, including photos of your eye from the front and inside. They use the latest technology to assess your eye health and eyesight. For the lens prescription, the doctor connects remotely via video camera. The doctor can control the viewer for the classic “Is 1 clearer or 2?” check. It’s very high-tech! My doctor had a fantastic video presence, making it feel very personal, even though they weren’t in the room. (I really appreciate this so I didn’t have a long drive far for a quality eye exam.) Besides the lens prescription, I get an annual exam for diabetics that includes a thorough exam of the retina. So far, I’m doing well, but it’s important to have regular eye exams because many eye health issues can be managed if caught early and treated promptly. That means the sooner, the better. 5-stars for top-quality eye care. 5-stars for great people who really care. 5-stars for a convenient location.
I am giving 4 stars because when i picked my glasses out the Man who helped me was supposed to put my order in but never did. I called to see if my glasses were ready but there was never an order placed. I was going to leave a bad review but I went in the office and a lady by the name of Elsie went above and beyond to make things right. She had great costumer service and was happy to help and kept a smile on her face. Elsie is the reason I'm giving 4 instead of 1. If I would've been taken care of by Elsie the first time I would've rated it 5 stars.
