ProClinix Sports Physical Therapy and Chiropractic publishes original pickleball content: an article by John Jude Shlimoun, PT, DPT, on understanding pickleball’s risks and preventing injury. The article notes that falls are the leading cause of pickleball injuries, covers ankle sprains and pickleball elbow, cites USA Pickleball Association data that 75 percent of players are 55 and older, and recommends physical therapy screening for strength, motion, and balance, followed by guided strength and flexibility programs with dynamic warm-ups and cooldowns. The physical therapy and chiropractic practice operates multiple Westchester-area offices; this listing covers the Pleasantville, New York, office on Marble Avenue.
I had the best possible experience at Pro Clinics, located in Pleasantville. The ladies at reception are warm and helpful. All of the therapists are very knowledgeable, and I have to note that they made a big effort in making sure I was using the correct form when doing the exercises to remediate my shoulder. They also show a genuine sense of caring in all of their clients. My daughter, father and MIL also went to Pro Clinics at one point for various injuries and they also had positive outcomes and feel the same way that I do. I couldn't recommend them more. Huge thanks to Tylor, Saab and Melonie! Wonderful therapists.
ProClinix Sports PT has been treating me for an injury to my arm and shoulder. From the first evaluation to my current treatment plan, each step has been explained, supervised and constantly upgraded to meet my progress. The facility is bright and clean and there is ample parking. The therapists I have worked with are all outstanding. Special shout out to Tyler, Sab, Melanie, Gino and Jay. They are knowledgeable, personable and experienced. Most importantly, they listen and work with you. Truly outstanding service.
5 Stars across the board. From the front desk staff through to the physical therapists, I always had a great experience. And, even more importantly, I can walk without any pain following the work they did with me following my total hip replacement. I'm very grateful to Alice and Melanie, and all! Thanks again!
Tyler has been nothing short of incredible. Coming from a very active lifestyle, I put off surgery longer than I should have, which led to significant inflammation and made the recovery process even more challenging. I underwent a modified Broström procedure along with a peroneal sheath debridement, and what I quickly realized was that this journey was just as much mental as it was physical.Through every phase of recovery, Tyler was there. On the days I felt strong, he pushed me. On the days I got in my own head, he grounded me. He has a rare ability to not only guide you physically, but to truly coach you mentally through the ups and downs that come with a long recovery. That made all the difference for me.I can honestly say I’ve never had a physical therapist like Tyler. His knowledge, patience, and ability to adapt to exactly what you need in the moment set him apart completely.I’m now heading into round two—surgery on my other ankle—which will make it two ankle surgeries in five months. It’s not an easy road, but there’s not a single doubt in my mind about who I want guiding me through it. I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I have complete confidence that Tyler will get me through this again. If you’re looking for someone who will not only help you recover, but truly stand with you through the entire process, Tyler is that person.
Had approx 18 PT sessions at ProClinix Pleasantville for persistent shoulder pain. My therapist, Dr. Gino Gutierrez, is a consummate professional (and a great guy). He expertly diagnosed my problem and administered numerous targeted exercises which, together with his manual therapy totally “did the trick.” I highly recommend ProClinix, and Dr. Gutierrez if you are fortunate to treat in Pleasantville.
