I cannot recommend Focal Physical Therapy of Somers enough. From my very first visit, Chris took the time to sit with me and carefully review all of medical scans and medical history so that he could fully understand my L5-S1 injury. He was incredibly thorough and explained in detail exactly what was happening with my back. His knowledge of the spine is outstanding, and after that first meeting, I felt completely confident that he would help me heal.When I first came in for my consultation, I had just been discharged from an acute rehab facility and was using a walker to get around. Now, only about eight sessions later I am walking independently with no assistive devices, I have resumed driving short distances and have been slowly resuming everyday chores around the house. The progress has been remarkable so far.Chris always explains each exercise we are doing and how it directly supports my recovery, which gives me confidence and motivation every step of the way.As an added bonus, the office staff is excellent. Jessica the receptionist is organized, responsive and always gets back to me promptly.The Focal Physical Therapy Somers location is a brand-new facility and has exceeded all of my expectations. If you are looking for expert, compassionate care, this is the place to go.

I love Focal PT. Every person on this team from the owners (Neil and Chris) to Jessica the amazing administrative assistant treats me with the utmost respect and care. I am a fitness trainer so I need to be functioning at my best. I got a thorough evaluation and a personalized treatment plan. Every session is effective and supportive. Focal PT is a special place. I will always return when I need Physical Therapy.

I’ve experienced physical therapy more times than I’d like to admit, but I am enormously impressed with Focal PT in Somers, NY. The level of care is truly exceptional. This organization has created a seamless, patient‑centered approach that stands apart from anything I’ve experienced before. Their 1:1 service model—rather than the typical 1:many setup—makes all the difference in both quality and outcomes. I highly recommend Focal PT.
