Sarasota Pickleball Organization is the one-woman engine behind much of Sarasota, Florida’s pickleball community, run since 2015 by Terry Ryan, better known locally as Pickleball Terry. A USA Pickleball Ambassador and PPR certified coach who says she has taught over a thousand students, Ryan runs clinics, private lessons, and boot camps, hosts tournaments including charity events, and publishes a weekly Sunday newsletter that has become the area’s go-to source for where and when to play across Sarasota County’s indoor and outdoor courts. The site maintains a running schedule of local venues, and Ryan also leads international pickleball trips, including an annual Costa Rica pickleball vacation.
