So happy that they have expanded to four courts. Our home away from home. Matt and Aaron have done amazing work on my sons overall game. Summer camps for kids are the most complete in the area. With access to pro input, live or video call. Great personal attention and you will notice the difference as you become part of the pickleball family.
I first came here with a partner, and Adam was incredibly welcoming. He took the time to explain how everything worked and even let us play for 30 minutes since that was all the time we had that day. That experience left a great impression on me and encouraged me to sign up for an open play session. When I returned for open play, I was excited to have fun, improve, and learn more as a beginner. However, it was a bit challenging since most players were already familiar with the game, and I found myself sitting for a while without anyone really wanting to play with someone new to the sport.Thankfully, Joey stepped in and was very kind. He volunteered to play with me for some time and gave me helpful general tips that made a big difference in understanding the game and its mechanics, scoring, and rules.I eventually decided to leave early with a desire to still play doubles with somebody. After realizing that open play may not be the best environment for someone just starting out. If you’re brand new, I’d recommend starting with something like the Spring Clinic instead, which Joey explained is designed more for beginners and for learning the fundamentals in a more comfortable setting. Unfortunately it’s not for me as I plan to play more often than once a week.
Montclair Pickleball is the best place to go for pickleball instruction, structured open plays, and social events! The coaches are all super knowledgeable and even nicer people. Matt and Aaron’s love for the game and developing a connected community of pickleball lovers really shines through in all aspects of their program. And there are indoor programs too for the winter…check it out!!
I absolutely LOVE Montclair Pickleball. Montclair is an outstanding place to play and learn! The exceptional instructors make it even better (My favorite is coach Dave) Having the right people teaching truly enhances the experience and helps all of us improve our skills (while having fun at the same time). Not only does Montclair Pickle ball offer a variety of services, but they also have fun evenings like Pickleball and Pizza and Singles Pickleball. I am excited to partake in both!!!
Super friendly staff. Four nice indoor and outdoor courts. Complimentary snacks are a huge bonus. We were here for a first tournament in early November which did feel a little disorganized as we had to transition inside and outside during the match due to open play and a birthday party. All in all, we would come back but wished that they managed the court better to allow the whole tournament to be played indoors.
