Description

Life Time Bloomington North underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation and reopened as Life Time Pickleball, the company’s first fitness center fully converted into a dedicated pickleball destination, part of Life Time’s push to become the nation’s largest indoor pickleball operator with 600-plus courts company-wide. The facility runs 5 competition-level courts on Laykold gel-cushioned surfacing, a dedicated viewing area, and a full bar and lounge for post-play socializing. Programming spans a complimentary Intro to Pickleball class, level-based Open Play, private, semi-private, and group lessons, skill-specific clinics, seasonal leagues, and PPA-partnered tournaments; former Wayzata Country Club coordinator Katie Easer led the original pickleball programming buildout. Access is limited to Life Time Signature members, with court reservations complimentary under that membership tier. Open daily, weekdays 6 AM to 10 PM and weekends 7 AM to 9 PM.

4 Stars I really enjoy working out here because the facility is always so clean and the equipment is top notch. It has a great atmosphere that keeps me motivated, and I never have to wait too long for the machines I want to use. The locker rooms are also very nice and well maintained. It is honestly one of the best gyms I have visited while traveling.

I’ve been a member for years and I have no clue where our membership dues are going, because it’s definitely not into the Bloomington location. Every other Lifetime club I visit has had major upgrades and renovations, meanwhile this location continues to deteriorate. The hot tub is almost never in working order. The sauna is literally rotting from multiple angles. The carpet throughout the gym is musty and overdue for replacement. There are mold-like spots under peeling wallpaper near the ellipticals—completely unacceptable in a facility at this price point. On top of that, a section of the men’s locker room has been “closed for construction” for over two years with no progress. It’s beyond ridiculous and not at all what members are paying premium rates for.Bloomington desperately needs attention, maintenance, and investment. Until then, I can’t recommend this location to anyone.

I never knew how much I was going to like it here but I do like it. The people are friendly which seems to be genuine. There is ample room for everyone and every kind of device you can think of. The locker rooms are spacious and provide the little things you don't think of. Well worth the dues

This is one of my favorite Lifetime locations. The clientele tends to trend older but still a mix of ages and genders and everyone is serious about working out and respectful. It's rare to find it so busy that you're fighting for weights and machines and they have a great variety of machines that are in good shape. Great people working here, the place is always clean. They've been working through the repairs from a huge water leak but it's not impacting the services much because the employees there have been doing a great job of keeping things business as usual.

This is an older club and I do wish that it was a bit cleaner, but I will say it is a quiet and calm atmosphere and I do like that. But the reason why I am giving them 5 stars is because of their staff. Their staff is so kind and friendly. I'm a bit of brisk walker and there are times when staff haven't gone out of their way to say goodbye to me. There is a kind woman at the front desk named Jenn who went out of her way to say goodbye to me and wish me a good day. It may seem like a small gesture, but it really brightened my mood!
