Foreside Fit started life in 1968 as a two-court indoor tennis facility, and it has grown into a 56,000-square-foot tennis, pickleball, and fitness club on Falmouth’s Route One corridor, minutes from downtown Portland. Pickleball players get 14 permanently lined indoor courts, one of the largest dedicated indoor setups in Maine, with lessons and clinics run through the club’s pickleball professionals. The club is open to the public for court reservations, and no membership is required for pickleball drop-in play, lessons, or clinics. Owner Eliot Potvin, a certified tennis professional and former Division 1 player at Georgia Tech, also maintains 6 US Open surface tennis courts and a 10,000-square-foot fitness center with more than 20 weekly classes. It holds a 4.8 rating across 19 Google reviews.
Great gym but limited hours!I’ve been going to this gym for a while now, and there’s a lot to appreciate. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful The equipment is well-maintained, and the space is clean and organized. However, one major downside is the extremely limited weekend hours. The gym is only open for about five hours on Saturdays and Sundays, which is frustrating, especially for people who work during the week or prefer to work out later in the day. For anyone choosing a gym based on flexibility and access, this could be a dealbreaker. If weekend availability isn’t a big concern for you, then this gym is definitely worth considering for its great service and friendly environment. But if you rely on weekends for your main workout time, be aware of the restricted hours before signing up.
Foreside tennis academy is the best one around. Perfect for indoor tennis
