Dropshot Pickleball Club is a dedicated indoor facility at Shakopee Town Square in Shakopee, Minnesota, built to keep Twin Cities players on the court no matter the season. The 28,000-plus square foot building holds eight courts plus a warm-up and instructor court, with daily open play sessions organized by level from beginner to 4.0+, ladder leagues, group classes, and private lessons for one to four players. Beyond the courts there is more than 8,000 square feet of social space, a pro shop selling and renting paddles and balls, a snack bar, and ball machine rentals. A free guest membership lets players pay as they go, while the annual Diamond membership adds unlimited open play and free court reservations. Everything books through CourtReserve.
Don't be put off by my four-star review. Dropshot pickleball club is a great place to play in the local Shakopee area.I played on a Sunday morning in March for a tournament that they were hosting. The event was very well run. They knew exactly what they were doing. The courts are nice and the divider between the courts is a net instead of a metal fence. Not very common to see but worked perfect. The last two courts on the left have some piping that hangs over the court. Try to avoid playing on those courts. If you like to do a lob shot. They will come into play. The players changing area is large and spacious. With hooks for your jackets, benches and picnic tables to sit at.Overall a very nice entrance and lobby area.It is located in an older strip mall that has a lot of vacancies.
This is my favorite place to play pickleball. The staff is super friendly and helpful, making you always feel comfortable and stress free. Theresa is the best as she always keeps things organized and on time. The courts have plenty of space and high nets on the sides to avoid the balls going to other courts. Best place in town!
DropShot Pickleball Club is fantastic. Justin and John are incredibly passionate about pickleball. The staff is always friendly, the facility is very clean and the courts are well maintained. Highly recommend.
I go here with my grandparents often and all I have to say is wow this place is amazing it brings that whole family together
$14 for some open play on a Monday? Y’all crazy. No wonder nobody ever signs up. Be reasonable y’all. Just cause it’s almost winter and we can’t play outside don’t mean you gotta be Scrooge and double the prices. Oh and they want $115 per month for a regular membership. For a person making about $60k annually, that works out to be about 4% of their annual take home pay. I don’t even think high end gyms charge that much. There are really no other amenities at this place. No fitness center, bar, sauna, etc. It’s basically a warehouse they converted. The sound of Pickleballs is so loud you can’t even hear each other. I wouldn’t even mind those facts if they weren’t charging premium prices.
