OrthoCarolina’s pickleball connection is an original article and webinar on common pickleball injuries and their prevention, presented with sports medicine specialist Dr. Cregar. Per the article, ankle sprains lead the injuries seen at the practice, pickleball elbow results from overuse of the wrist extensors, and knee and shoulder issues appear especially in older or less conditioned players; prevention centers on dynamic warm-ups, strengthening, proper footwear, and pacing playtime. The orthopedic group is independent and physician owned, and the content applies at every location. This listing covers the Foot & Ankle Institute on North Caswell Road in Charlotte, North Carolina, the group’s specialty center for foot and ankle care, a fitting resource given the article names ankle sprains as pickleball’s most common injury.
Dr. Carroll Jones performed my bunion surgery in April 2026 and Tyler Anderson managed my post-surgical care. They provided detailed descriptions of the recommended surgical procedures and expected recovery. I am 2.5 weeks post-op and there have been no surprises. I am impressed with the patience I encounter with the questions I continue to ask. Dr. Jones was recommended by my PCP and a close friend who’ve both had surgeries with him and I’d, also, highly recommend him and his team.
I thought Dr. Jones was very thorough. He examined me. He looked at my MRIs in my feet. I told him I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I have plantar fascia and that could be painful, but I have pain in my ankles and toes. Also, he thought that could be the fibromyalgia. He thought with everything going on with my body aching that I should leave the planters fasciated alone. The last two doctors wanted to do surgery on my plantar fascia. After he knew everything going on with my body, he advise us to leave the plant or fascia all along. Keep doing the stretches and etc.. He was very honest. Nice human being. and the important thing he did not want to do surgery at all he said I need to live with it. The important thing was that he knew all the other issues I was having and took that into consideration. Thank you for your good work. God bless and if I meet anybody that have foot issues, I will recommend him.
Tyler is very knowledgeable of his discipline as well as patient and kind to listen to your concerns. He tailors his treatments accordingly without jeopardizing the healing process. He is also strong supporter of the knowledge of his team leadership. Highly recommend him for any foot repair and maintenance!
I always receive high quality of care from OrthoCarolina. The drs are thorough and honest with me regarding my care and prognosis. Tyler and Dr Jones were both excellent in my care. I wouldnt trust anyone else.
My service provided by Dr. Anderson at the Ortho Knee and Foot medical site was exceptional. best customer care and best customer service. I will definitely refer others and revisit in the event of my futuristic medical care.
