Shade Systems is a commercial fabric shade structure manufacturer, describing itself as the largest in the United States, with a dedicated pickleball courts page.

Its position is that pickleball courts need shade to protect players and spectators, and its products can be custom designed for complete coverage over an entire court or to shade sideline seating areas. Structures can also accommodate night lighting, which matters for facilities running evening play.

The flagship product for court-scale spans is the Mega Span, with a multi-panel variant using individual fabric panels that create spaces where natural light enters, improving visibility for outdoor activities such as pickleball.

Two named installations are documented: a large Mega Span over new pickleball courts at a Florida city’s Founders Park, and multiple sail shades covering the pool, bocce court and pickleball courts at a Pompano Beach retirement community.
