Very professional and skilled surgeon. Dr. Bohnenkamp replaced my hip with results better than I ever expected, and I’m looking forward to having him help me with my knee. Not only him, but his entire staff is wonderful. Highly recommend.
Dr. Saddiqi is a patient listener, an excellent explainer of diagnosis and treatment options and was very knowledgeable about her field of study. Excellent bedside manner and provided me with optimistic answers for my condition. I felt very comfortable and confident with our interactions.
I was referred to OrthoIllinois and diagnosed with frozen shoulder. As part of my treatment, I received two hydrocortisone injections and completed several weeks of physical therapy.I want to be clear that I am not a physician, but as a diabetic, I understand that frozen shoulder can take years of consistent, gentle stretching to resolve. Based on what I’ve read and been told elsewhere, improvement often takes considerable time.Within just a couple of months of therapy, surgery was already being discussed. From my understanding, hydrocortisone injections are not always effective for frozen shoulder, and surgery is typically considered a last resort after long-term conservative treatment has failed.
Bed side manners are extremely excellent. His staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I should have went to him first. I totally trust him and his staff.Dr Bohnenkamp is the best.
I wish I could understand why there are so many five-star ratings, but I probably won’t because of my experience. The call center staff aren't properly trained to assist with scheduling appointments with the rheumatologist, resulting in multiple calls just to make an appointment. After three tries, on the fourth and final attempt, I was told, in reference to having my files sent from my primary care doctor, "Yes, Sir, your doctor's office sent the referral, but now we need more information from them. Can you call and get it?" That was the moment I realized my insurance company pays them a lot to handle these tasks. So, I politely declined, saying I’d find someone else willing to take my money! 😁 I may be a small fish, but sometimes I believe God sends signs in mysterious ways!
