Jubilee has two outdoor pickleball courts for residents and their guests, with weekday morning play, novice lessons, and mentored beginner sessions organized by the Hawks Prairie Pickleball Club. Courts can be reserved through the community association outside club hours, and some programming also includes neighboring Edgewater residents. Jubilee is a 55+ residential community in Lacey, Washington, operated through the Jubilee Community Association.
I have lived in Jubilee for a year and a half and love the community. There are so many different clubs and activities, I think anybody could find something that interests them. People here are very welcoming and inclusive. There are certainly people who think that our Board of Directors are not looking out for us, but I disagree. We have a great Board of Directors, all volunteers, who give their time and work to make this the best community for all residents. There will always be people who have different ideas, and these people are also invited to attend meetings and give input or they can even choose to run for the board if they choose to make a difference.
Good clubhouse and amenities, nice neighborhood layout, homes are on small lots but that's typical of 55+. The big problem is that its in Lacey/Olympia, which is a liberal armpit. If you're okay just staying in the Hawks neighborhood area it should be just fine, but if you want to go downtown Lacey or Olympia, things go south very quickly. We looked at buying there but we drove around Lacey and Olympia and said "No Thanks!".
I had a nice group of pinks in the garden on left side of garage door. I have moved them from house to house for 68 years. They were covered with a great growth of nice green leaves. The mower mowed this little spot twice...I have put up a wire barrier but all I am protecting right now is a patch of stubs at 8553 Bainbridge Loop NE. Please let the provider know of this action.
I have lived here over a year and regret it! There is a dark side to this HOA. They have a website with a forum and the rules are that you can't question or criticize the board. So you give up the 1st Amendment. The board will keep records from us even though the Washington state RCW's require them to make copies available. And lastly, they did not plan for Shea homebuilders leaving (soon) and because they won't get as much money from each new house sold, the dues will go up every year for the foreseeable future. The people in power are all happy happy until you disagree with them.
Love our Jubilee lodge. Stopped to practice billiards on my way home from work.
