Surprise Community Park offers sixteen lighted, dedicated pickleball courts with permanent lines and nets, free and open to the public daily from 6 am to 10 pm per the City of Surprise, with first-come play except during tournaments and scheduled special events. The courts sit inside Surprise Community Park near the Northwest Regional Library, aquatic center, and spring training stadium, with parking off Bullard Avenue. The complex hosts an active local scene: busy competitive mornings, social evening blocks, leagues, and ladders organized through the community, plus lessons from area coaches. Note this facility is separate from the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex on Paradise Lane, which is tennis-only. Restrooms and park amenities are steps away.
The only time to go here is in the off season when the snowbirds are home. There are way too many leagues that monopolize all the courts. Very cliquey. Not worth the trek out there. It’s a shame because they are beautiful courts but the way they are run is terrible.
Public facilities are just amazing. We plaid in Tommy Wong tournament and we liked it. Needed more seating area
16 gorgeous outdoor courts. No cover from the elements but 16 great courts
One of the best outdoor pickleball courts around. Plenty of courts for everybody to play on plus they host leagues and training to get you better at your game. Only thing I would add would be maybe more shade or drinking fountains near the courts.
Pickleball courts are good and maintained however, the system for waiting needs to be updated since there’s no rotation for turn taking. This causes people to wait for half an hour to get a court if at all. City of Surprise please update your courts to include a turn based rotation system so, everyone has a chance to enjoy the pickleball courts.
